Join us in our mission to save Davies Park and other open spaces.

Welcome to Kinross Open Spaces Action Group (KOSAG)

We believe in the transformative power of community action. Our journey began with a mission to protect and preserve Davies Park, a cherished green space in Kinross. Over the years, our commitment to our community and our open spaces has grown stronger, leading us to broaden our horizons and embrace new challenges.

We are driven by the shared vision of enhancing and revitalizing Kinross's open areas, ensuring they remain vibrant, accessible, and cherished by generations to come. Our dedication extends to projects like Lochburn Park, a neglected gem waiting to be transformed from unused sterile grass into something new.

KOSAG is more than just an organization; it's a community of passionate individuals, volunteers, and supporters who come together to make a positive impact on our town. We value transparency, collaboration, and the power of collective effort.

We have over 1000 supporters of our facebook campaign page "No road in The Park " and over 150 direct members of the charity. Join us in our mission to preserve, enhance, and celebrate the parks and open spaces of Kinross. Together, we can make a difference.

Thank you for visiting KOSAG, and we look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you.

Warm regards,

David West Chair, Kinross Open Spaces Action Group (KOSAG)

At Kinross Open Spaces Action Group (KOSAG), we believe in community ownership and empowerment. Our organization is designed to ensure that our open spaces are truly owned by the people who love and cherish them – the residents of Kinross.

Membership: KOSAG is a community-based organization, and ownership starts with our members. Membership is open to all residents of Kinross who are on the electoral register. By becoming a member, you not only have a say in our organization's decisions but also play an active role in shaping the future of our open spaces. Our membership drive is ongoing, and we welcome all interested individuals to join our cause.

Board of Directors: While our open spaces belong to the community, we recognize the importance of effective governance. KOSAG is managed by a Board of Directors, elected from among our members. This dedicated team oversees the activities of our organization and ensures that our goals are met. We are a registered charity SCIO SC052863

Ownership Background: Our commitment to community ownership extends beyond our membership structure. We are working diligently to secure the transfer of open spaces in Kinross through Community Asset Transfer (CAT) processes. This means that the community will have a direct say in how these spaces are managed and maintained.

We are excited about this ownership structure because it empowers residents to take an active role in shaping the future of our open spaces. Together, we can ensure that these areas remain accessible, vibrant, and cherished by all.
